2006-2007 General Section Meeting Calendar

General Section Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the La Quinta on Rte. 46 in Fairfield unless other plans are made. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM with dinner at 6:30 PM and the program at 7:30 PM.

Good Meeting Management Practices (GMMP)

This Section Meeting will be basically in two parts: An overview presentation by Jim George of principles of GMMP with hand-out notes and other reference material. That will be followed by a stimulating session of team exercises in solving a problem using many of the presented practices. Each table of attendees will become a self-directed team working on the same problem step-by-step through how a solution would be implemented. The fun comes in as team members evaluate their conformance to the presented principles as they go along and award members and the team in general for conformance and issue demerits for non-conformance. The evening's program will wrap up with comparison of the various teams' solutions as well as their self-assessment of how well they followed the GMMP principles.
