We have an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Manager on the
Engineering Team in our corporate headquarters located in Milford,
Pennsylvania, right on the Delaware River Highlands at the foot of
the beautiful Pocono Mountains. We are within commuting distance of
many Northern New Jersey and Southern New York residential areas;
and 135 miles NE of Philly.
POSITION SUMMARY: Manage
Quality Engineering, Failure Analysis and Quality Control functions
with the goal of driving improvement in Product Quality. Develop,
implement and maintain Quality standards and procedures across the
organization. Be an agent of change, supporting the Director of Quality
Assurance in moving the organization from a reactive to a proactive
philosophy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure product quality by working closely with Engineering, Product
Marketing and Manufacturing in China throughout the design Life Cycle
Process.
- Contribute/participate in cross-functional quality/reliability improvement
teams.
- Create/Document Quality procedures, standards, and Quality plans.
- Analyze and report on defect trends, market return ratios and other
Quality metrics.
- Coordinate data capture and analysis from Field Returns, Engineering
Prototype evaluations and Post Mortem evaluations.
- Functions as an expert advisor on Quality matters with all functional
departments - Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sales, Supply
Chain and others.
- Initiate and implement process improvements for the Quality Assurance
Team.
- Must be results oriented, have the ability to stay focused on task
in a dynamic environment and be able to manage multiple tasks.
- Must be able to drive change and maintain a positive "can do"
attitude within the Team.
- Directly supervise 4 Team members including assigning work, appraising
performance, resolving issues and maintaining/improving moral.
- Must be able to work with various operational groups, including
overseas, to gain consensus and resolve issues that involve the Quality
Team. Ability to build strong, positive relationships is essential.
EDUCATION
& BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
- BSEE, 4-year degree in other Engineering Disciplines will be considered
- 5+ years experience in Quality Management
- ASQ membership and CQE certification preferred
- Strong technical background in Consumer Electronics, audio preferred
- Experience with statistical analysis, Six Sigma or TQM experience
a plus
- Good communication and customer relations skills
