General Section Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the La Quinta on Rte. 46 in Fairfield unless other plans are made. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM with dinner at 6:30 PM and the program at 7:30 PM.

An Introduction to Business Process Management:
Tools and Techniques

In this presentation we will cover the two dimensions of Business Process Management, one as a process improvement approach and two as a software category. Business Process Management is a key enterprise software category that has emerged over the past several years. There are over 100 vendors that develop products in this market. BPM tools allow organizations to design, automate, and manage the activities of knowledge workers from within one platform. We will provide an overview of the BPM marketplace. We will describe the capabilities found in BPM software packages, how they are founded on process improvement techniques, and how these tools are used to model and execute business processes.
