Call to Order/Roll Call 19:22 Wayne Merrifield Wayne called the meeting to order and welcomed new members and welcomed back the old ones.

Chair Report   Wayne Merrifield

Sandi Cifrodelli has to step down as chair-elect due to new duties at work. We will miss her and hope that she can make many of the meetings. Russ Nichols has graciously step forwarded. Thank you Russ. We need someone to step up and take the arrangement chair position as Gertrude Martin has been transferred to a new job not close enough to the section. Please consider it.
Treasurer Report  

Sue Serradilla-Smarth, Wil Jamison

 The final report for this past year was given. Much debate ensued over the future of the postcard. It seems we spend $9000 a year to produce but only take in about $3500 in dinner money. The issue was tabled until next meeting. It was voted to keep the SQC conference finances separate from the ASQ 304 financials in the future. We made $20,700 on the SQC this past year.
Education   C. Perini

Summer semester is underway. Nine total Students. Fall semester starts in October. A CQA course may be possible with Picatinny in September - 10 students.

Recertification   Paul Nair

Paul Nair has agreed to take over as Recertification chair.

ASQ Exams   Paul Nair Next Exam October 17, 2009. 15 test takers expected at this point.
For the December 5, 2009 we have 19 so far.
4 people are up for Re-certification.
Tests are still conducted at Berkeley College.
Placement   Ralph Hiltebrand
Motion was unanimously passed to bolster this portion of the section. The "statistics" will no longer be presented. Mulraj will create a "ASQ 304" Linked in profile. We may post jobs at meetings as done in the past. Ed May will speak to Ralph. Becker interested in helping. Website to also be improved to support these efforts.
Section Audit   Joel Schwartzman Audit Conducted on 8/5/09. It will be submitted to ASQ HQ by the Treasurer.
Quality Management Program   Lucy Kahn

It was voted to give our annual $300 to the Picatinny Golf Outing.
Membership   Susan Smarth

Analysis of Specific Member attendance will be done to determine extent of "core group" attending the monthly section meeting. This will assist with "future of postcard discussion".

Spring Quality Conference   Lucy Kahn Next conference set for April 15, 2010. Planning already underway.
Keynote speaker already secured. Half of speakers needed already obtained. Next Meeting to be held 8/20 at Ruby Tuesday in Wayne, NJ in the Willowbrook Mall at 6pm.
