General Section Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the La Quinta on Rte. 46 in Fairfield unless other plans are made. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM with dinner at 6:30 PM and the program at 7:30 PM.

Building Strong Executive Support for Quality Audit Programs

Support for quality audit programs is driven by regulatory compliance requirements in many industries. Building support for a quality audit programs by constructing a strong business case for the practice as well as developing business processes to fully leverage the information gathered by the audit program in strategic decision making can help to deliver executive support. This presentation will focus on strategies for aligning the quality audit function with strategic decision making. Recent guidance from FDA regarding Quality Systems and from ICH regarding Risk Management further reinforces the importance of management's responsibility and the key role that audit can play in this. Effective business processes are not only compliant with applicable regulatory and business requirements but are also efficient and sustainable. When quality audit programs focus on delivering these outcomes support from management follows.
