2006-2007 General Section Meeting Calendar

General Section Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the La Quinta on Rte. 46 in Fairfield unless other plans are made. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM with dinner at 6:30 PM and the program at 7:30 PM.

Professional Biographical Profile

Jim George

Jim George is a Senior Member of the ASQ North Jersey Section and the Section's for-mer Treasurer. Jim was also the President of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the Association for Quality and Participation (AQP) for six years. He was an Examiner for the Quality New Jersey Governor's Award program (using the Malcolm Baldrige crite-ria for performance excellence) for three years and is an ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, and Certified Quality Manager.

Jim has over 25 years' experience with small manufacturers as well as Fortune 500 firms in process industries, consumer products and publishing in various management roles. His responsibilities included Supplier and Information Systems Quality Assurance. He is currently an independent consultant with his own firm, QMC Associates.

Jim was awarded a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union and holds an MBA degree in management from the Stern School at New York University.
